After giving hints about their first official release, Nothing has finally unveiled the Ear (1), their true wireless headset (TWS). The novelty, presented this Tuesday (27), has a transparent design and advanced noise cancellation.
Featuring three built-in microphones, Nothing’s first earpiece offers customizable Active Noise Canceling (ANC). The technology reduces outside noise by up to 40 dB, according to the brand created by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
The user has three ANC options to choose from. In basic mode, the reduction is minimal, while in advanced, suitable for noisy places, the function helps to hear the audio from the headphones more clearly. There is also the “Transparency” mode, which prioritizes ambient sound.

Nothing Ear (1) has 11.6 mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 support and AAC and SBC codecs. Other highlights are the high definition microphone for voice calls, water resistance (IPX4), automatic ear detection and the gadget’s tracking function.
Autonomy of up to 34 hours
According to the manufacturer, the battery of the cordless phone lasts up to four hours with the ANC turned on and up to six hours with it off. However, the autonomy can be extended to up to 34 hours by activating the charging case.
The box, which supports wireless charging, provides up to eight hours of audio playback to the handset with just 10 minutes of charge if the ANC is turned off (time is reduced to six hours with function enabled).
